Have lunch with some local wine and continue on to the nearby Hill End where have the opportunity to relive the early explorer life and try your luck with gold panning. Day 2: From Mudgee we fly to Lightning Ridge, Australia's black opal capital. Take a tour of the mines, fossic yourself and have the opportunity to purchase directly from the region. Day 3: From Lightning Ridge we make a short flight to Walgett for refuelling and if you like a quick brunch in town. From there we continue on to Coonaburrabran at the Eastern end of the Warrumbungle range. You have the option to visit the Siding Springs telescope and choose from numerous spectacular bush walks. Day 4: We now fly to Cessnock, another wine growing centre. Here we enjoy again the local wines with a delicious lunch. Weather permitting we now head to the coast and fly home along the spectacular coast line until we return to Sydney. Day 1: We depart Sydney and head north at a breathtaking 500 ft above the coastline. We pass the northern beaches of Sydney as we continue on past Newcastle, the spectacular Port Stephens onwards to Port Macquarie. This delightful town offers much from rivercruises to whalewatching, and many restaurants and cafe's Day 2: We fly north at our favourite altitude of just 500 ft onto Coffs Harbour. From here we explore the town and the spectacular hinterland. Day 3: Byron Bay, Australia's most easterly town awaits us today.  Relax here, absorb the stunning landscape and indulge in a rich variety of retail, therapeutic, adventure, culinary,cultural, artistic and musical experiences. Perhaps you like to sunbake on the beach or visit the lighthouse.
